Job Description

Process TechnicianThe Process Technician shall be the liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring new products are successfully transitioned from design to manufacturing in a way that optimizes quality and efficiency.Main Accountabilities:Act as the liaison between manufacturing and engineering regarding manufacturing methods, materials, and problem resolutionDevelop manufacturing process with the goal of error proofing assembly process to drive down scrap and reworkDrive improvement to manufacturing methods, part routings, bills of material, and material utilization to increase overall manufacturing efficiencyDevelop detailed Work Instructions to aid in complex assembly stepsSupport fabrication and assembly operators with technical issues escalating to engineering if requiredParticipate fully with the engineering and operations teams to develop and execute solutions to product design and process problemsAs needed, create additional, detailed assembly drawings to minimize the likelihood of errorsParticipate fully in the change request processSupport and help drive safety improvements across the manufacturing areasActively participate in product design reviewsSupport and help implement Lean improvements across the manufacturing areasTrain operators as needed on new methods and processesRequested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:Associates degree or equivalent experienceMust have solid problem solving, decision making, and communication skillsSelf-motivatedHighly organizedGood team playerDemonstrated leadership skillsUnderstanding of drafting standards, geometric tolerances, and interpretations to various standardsUnderstand process control, capabilities, and various methods of manufacturing preferredUnderstand CNC machine shop practices, processes, tooling and theory of machining preferredNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
