Onward Education is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions company that connects educators, therapists, and school health professionals with top opportunities in schools statewide. We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher - Resource to support a school with our client in Boulder County, Colorado for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a contract role with On-Site requirements and 35 hours per week.

Position Details:

• End Date: May 3, 2027
\n
• Schedule: Full-time; 35 hours paid per week with 2.5 hours unpaid lunch (37.5 hours on site).

• Grade Levels: High School
\n
• Location: On-Site
\n
• School Year: 2026/2027
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience.
\n
• Colorado Department of Education licensure in place or actively in progress, as required for the role.
\n
• Ability to provide proof of licensure status (license or official credential documentation) with application materials.
\n
• Experience supporting students who receive targeted interventions while participating in general education for most of the day.
\n
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with school-based teams.
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Provide specialized instruction in a resource-room/pull-out setting to address targeted learning needs.
\n
• Deliver small-group and individual academic interventions aligned to student goals and documented needs.
\n
• Collaborate with general education staff and support teams to coordinate services and instructional supports.
\n
• Track and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on observed outcomes.
\n
• Support a positive learning environment and contribute as a flexible, team-oriented educator.
\n
